Hypnotherapy for Wellbeing Programme Structure

 Because we will do the program on a 1:1 basis, we can adapt it to best suit your needs.  Here is the outline we will work from:

  • Discovery Call – a session to establish goals & expectations and answer any questions before starting out on the program.
  • Session one – I’ll talk you through the brain model which sits at the core of the work we’ll do together. We will develop this model progressively to incorporate Solution Focused Hypnotherapys’ (SFH) underpinning theories – you will become your own expert on these in no time. This builds a solid understanding of how SFH and therapeutic trance actually works. Then we’ll kick our heels back and enjoy a lovely gently trance. We’ll close the session with any questions. After the session, I’ll send you a suite of hypnosis downloads and notes on developing your thought patterns.
  • Session two – and subsequent sessions – will broadly follow the structure of SFH sessions: we’ll develop the knowledge content areas to support managing your wellbeing, do what we call scaling, and then you’ll identify some small steps forward. This session’s trance is a gentle introduction to using trance for defined purposes as well as generatively. After the session, I’ll send you some hypnosis downloads very similar to this session’s trance and you’ll develop your self-awareness by questioning your own thinking, exploring your character strengths, and personal values. Allied with session ones’ content, this gives a good understanding of the PERMA models’ Positive Emotion.
  • In session three, we deepen your understanding of the underpinning theories and of what hypnosis really is. The trance session takes another step in using trance to support your wellbeing. After the session, you’ll explore your personal values, beliefs & limiting beliefs. This lays the foundations for aligning analytical approaches with hypnosis and self-hypnosis processes to sustain your wellbeing for the long term.
  • Session four introduces the concept of ‘Flow’ which equates to the Positive Engagement element of the PERMA model. The trance will provide you with an incredibly powerful and flexible hypnosis process for supporting achievement over the short, medium, and long term. I’ll give you a download of this process which you can easily customise for your own specific purposes.

 

  • Session five departs from the standard session structure. We’ll return to session three’s work on limiting beliefs and have a Solution Focused Conversation to lay the foundations for moving on from one or two of those you identified. By the end of this session, you will have some ideas for aligning this analytical process with the hypnosis process we introduced in session four.

 

  • Session six introduces the concept of neurological levels (not as scary as it sounds) and how we can use this as another tool either for working through blockages or developing well aligned, authentic outcomes for our long-term wellbeing. This supports the Positive Relationship (especially your relationship with yourself) and Positive Meaning elements of the overall PERMA model. I encourage all my clients to develop their capabilities with self-hypnosis so, we’d normally introduce this at stage in the program. I’ll give you plenty of exercises you can experiment with as you become your own expert.

 

  • Session seven starts to pull the PERMA model together and gives you a framework to structure your ongoing wellbeing. We’ll return to trance sessions with a process for letting go of all that emotional baggage from the past. Some find this a highly effective step in moving on to a better future while others find it a very deep trance experience.

 

  • Session eight sees us shifting focus from the present to the future to round out the Positive Meaning and Positive Accomplishment elements of the PERMA model. You will consider your future through the lens of how goals can support your long-term wellbeing. We’ll do an uplifting, future-orientated trance session and I’ll send you a comprehensive case study which will allow you to reflect on your experience as you build your chosen future.

 

  • Session nine continues the focus on the future with some sign-posting to future reference sources you will find useful as you continue to build you wellbeing ‘toolbox.’ The trance session is a dreamy exploration of our connections to the world we co-exist with. I’ll send you an extended version of this one for those times when you just want to drift in a deep trance for a while.

 

  • Session ten allows us to enjoy another uplifting, future-orientated trance, reflect on our time working together and your next steps to continuing to build your life full of wellbeing for you and those around you.

 

And Also

Accompanying our sessions together is a set of notes, exercises, and hypnosis downloads for you to work through in-between sessions (and, of course, keep forever). Sessions are, notionally, an hour each – it is no problem if they run over: they often do. Between each session, you will work through a series of exercises and learning materials to maximise the value of our time together. Typically, this requires 6-8 hours between each session. It is possible to do these sessions on a weekly basis while others choose to do a session every two weeks to give them plenty of time to do the work.
